Colossians 1:9-13

Colossians 1:9-13, "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has transferred us into the kingdom of his dear Son:"

Psalm 139

1 You have searched me, LORD,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, LORD, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, LORD,
and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 103

1 Praise the LORD, my soul;

all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the LORD, my soul,

and forget not all his benefits—

3 who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The LORD works righteousness

and justice for all the oppressed.

7 He made known his ways to Moses,

his deeds to the people of Israel:

8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,

slow to anger, abounding in love.

9 He will not always accuse,

nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve

or repay us according to our iniquities.

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so great is his love for those who fear him;

12 as far as the east is from the west,

so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,

so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

14 for he knows how we are formed,

he remembers that we are dust.

15 The life of mortals is like grass,

they flourish like a flower of the field;

16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,

and its place remembers it no more.

17 But from everlasting to everlasting

the LORD’s love is with those who fear him,

and his righteousness with their children’s children—

18 with those who keep his covenant

and remember to obey his precepts.

19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven,

and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Praise the LORD, you his angels,

you mighty ones who do his bidding,

who obey his word.

21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,

you his servants who do his will.

22 Praise the LORD, all his works

everywhere in his dominion.

Praise the LORD, my soul.

Apostasy??

Apostasy means falling away from what one has believed and is the deliberate and permanent rejection of Christianity after a previous profession of faith in it. We will cover a few scripture that discuss this topic, and also issues that are currently going on in the world around us.

1 Timothy 4

Verse 1. Defines the apostasy and entails the causes for the apostasy. Many will Depart from the faith, no longer believing in Christ, because they have believed in another gospel or doctrine. It is mentioned in scripture that warned of Beings, being Spiritual or Natural may preach other gospels different from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this verse it mentions that these individuals will give heed to deceiving spirits. Spirits who manipulate and charm their way into altering the belief of individuals. Altering the format and content of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and formatting it into different forms. Such as “Prosperity Gospel”, “Gospel of Inclusion”, and many others.

These doctrines are described as being doctrines of devils, “Catholicism”, “Islam”, “Jehovah’s Witness”, “Denominations in Christianity”, etc. These are all works of the Evil One, who came to alter and twist the Word of God in order to receive worship from the people and to try to counterattack Gods plan for our lives.

Verse 2. Mentions of teachers who are speaking lies, and know what they are doing is wrong, but are continuing to do them for the Benefit they are receiving (Money, Fame a.k.a Worship). When we are listening to or engaging in activities with teachers of the Gospel we must study the subject matter being taught, whether we know them or not. We must be alert at all times.

Verse 3-5. This verse clearly highlights 2 of the largest religious bodies in the World today. They are Catholicism which forbids priests and nuns to marry which is totally contrary to the Word of God, and Islam which commands its believers to abstain from various meats. It was very beneficial for these verses to be placed in the Bible, for God always warns his people of what is to come.To learn about the past and future, go to the Word of God, and allow God to reveal it to you. Don't depend on man , but Christ!

2 Timothy 3
Verse 1. Warns of Perilous (Difficult or Harsh) times will come. It appears to be a quite difficult time period now. The Earth as a whole appears to be in total discourse. Today we see constant wars (Libya, Middle East, etc), Weather (Mississippi River, Katrina, North Carolina, Japan, etc), Financial crisis (Unemployment, etc), and the list goes on.

Verse 2. Mentions a few traits that can be clearly seen today. Money lovers a.k.a the American dream which doesn’t exist. The music, and every entertainment sources main focus in money. Disobedient to parents, unholy. The world continues to degrade and the philosophers say we are progressing lol. Everything about this world is unholy, even the churches!! Allowing homosexuality, stealing the peoples income, accepting sin. Turning from worshipping God , to worshipping man.

Verse 3. Without natural affection, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of those that are good. Ability to molest and torture children is continually seen over and over again in our society today in the Catholic Church and outside of it. Teachers engaging in sexual activities with their students. But no one speaks up, we are caught up Watching instead of being Active Leaders in Christ!!

Verse 4. Traitors, reckless, haughty, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.

Verse 5. This scripture details those who appear to be religious without a true relationship with Christ. They are mockers, and only use the Gospel as a tool for self-gratification.

Verse 6-7. This really explains our current state. We have access to a wealth of information and knowledge, and still can’t conclude that Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY!!

They are slowly taking away our freedom to speak up and proclaim the truth. Many, who have stood up, have been forced to apologize, thus have been weakened and exposed themselves. Or have twisted the Gospel to please their audience.

HOW DO I STAY OR BECOME SECURE?

2 Timothy 3:15-17,” And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped unto all good works.”

We must stay in the Word of God and meditate upon it daily. It is surely our daily bread, substance that we can’t go without especially in this evil day. We must turn away from the Worlds way of conducting church, and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. As saints, we are to be sanctified and set apart for his Glory, fleeing from ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS!!! Showing love to all mankind that they too may come to the realization that Christ is the Savior of all men.
Continuing to fast and pray, and overcome our errors/ sins in our lives. We must allow the Holy Spirit to help cleanse us and this will allow the Lord to use us for his Glory. It’s important to receive the Spirit of the Lord and not the Spirit of the World which is against Christ. Embed yourself in the word of God, and pray without ceasing, and allow the Word to re-generate you and make you new. We all must believe in Jesus Christ, and with that belief comes action. Living a life acceptable to God, instruction provided through his holy word.

God Bless!!

Spirit of Error

1 John 4:6, "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error."

It is clearly stated in this verse that those who receive the true Gospel of Jesus Christ as the apostles taught were considered to be in truth, and those who opposed it were in error. In this verse, error means to be in a delusion or decetpion. Those who are in error practice and have different beliefs than of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Its important for us to stay in the Word of God, for it is the truth. It protects us from all deception (error). We must allow the Holy Spirit to aid us in understanding the Word of God.

There is no one better qualified to do so than the Holy Spirit. Lets look and see how this delusion, and state of being in error begins. 2 Thessalonians 2: 10-12,"And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

In this scripture Believed means to trust, with an implication that actions based on that trust may follow. When we truly believe, we will act on what we believe. Thus, If we truly believe in Jesus Christ, we will obey his commands. We will lay our lives down, and become self-less as he was. We will pray and fast, and intercede for the behalf of the saints and the lost souls. We will stand firmly with boldness for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The fruit of God's Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23,"But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.") will be manifested in our lives.

If we do not receive the Word of God with the Love of the Truth, then we are rebellious. We can't pick in choose what parts of the Word of God we will obey, but we must obey all of it. I encourage everyone who reads this, to seek the Lord Jesus Christ for a true understanding of his word, and the plan that he has for your life. This goes beyond any denomination or religious setting that you were raised in. Find Christ, start a relationship with him, and let him lead and guide you.

Those who aren't willing to search out the truth for themselves will fall into those who are bound by the Spirit of Error, not being able to come to truth, because they are depending upon man to lead them. All through the bible and even today, we as humans like to idolize and follow men. But its more beneficial to follow God!!!! As we see in Jude 1:19," These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit." Separate themselves means to cause divisions in the Body of Christ, During this time the apostles were fighting against gnosticism. Through the course of christianity many men have created divisions (denominations) within the Body of Christ. This has weakened it severely, and its due to those who are in the Spirit of Error.

Matthew 7:15-16,"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs, of thistles?" Its certain and key to understand that the false prophets will fit in with the real saints. I onced looked at a picture of a herd of sheep and there was a wolf who was dressed as a sheep and I couldn't pick it out at first sight. We must see the importance in what Jesus is saying here. He goes on to say in Matthew 7:21-23," Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

We must see that Jesus is stressing the fact, that it would be hard to see with our own eyes, who the false prophets are. He gives us the best solution in Matthew 7:24-27," Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mind, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon the rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which build his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."

The solution clearly stated is either we can build our house on the rock (whom is Jesus Christ) or we can build our house on the sand (Mankind). Its up to us whom we will follow. Search out the scriptures for yourself, thus 2 Timothy 2:15,"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I pray that you all build your house on the rock, and not on man. We must have faith in Jesus Christ and not sand/dust of the earth!!

God Bless

Sin Traps

"I have an addiction, an addiction has me"

Most people think sin is just sin, I sin today and repent. Then a few days later indulge in those same activities. Sin has an agenda of its own, and its to turn what is holy into the total opposite "Anti-Christ". Sin is like a disease or virus that spreads rapidly like wildfire. It makes more of itself and reproduces quickly. It slowly removes anythig that's Godly in you, turning you into a "Child of the Devil" who is willing to slay Christ. Sin starts off as a small act such as lust, then turns into masturbation, then into fornication, then into Bi-sexuality, then into Homosexuality.

Sin isn't temporary, but longs for deeper involvemnt with you. The more you sin, the deeper entangled in it you become and you begin to make modifications and begin to accept it as a way of life. Before you entertained sin your conscious told you it was wrong, but now you have overpowered your conscious, meaning you have accepted the act as right, and no longer have any bad feelings about engaging in it. During this process you are ultimately closing your own casket, meaning know one is able to rescue you because you see no wrong in what you are doing because you have Believed a lie and are under a delusion (2 thessalonians 2:10-12).

Another common trend that stops people from being preached the truth or ministered to is, the "Don't Judge Me" slur. Most people say only God can judge them, and they don't even have a relationship with God to know his will. Neither do they have his Spirit to bring conviction when they are faced with unknown situations that may be sinful. This mask has to come off inorder for them/you to turn to God and ask for forgiveness and to truly repent. Repent means to turn away and its not saying i am sorry or i apologize, its a new lifestyle. Removing sin out of your life and replacing it with Christ!!

Sin sneaks into little wholes and crevices, seeking to widen those wholes until they have overpowered and possess control over that individual. Sin has a natural effect as well as spiritual effect. Sin starts itself within then begins to show itself outwardly. Showing that it has control over the temple (Individuals Body, whom it possesses). Examples are excessive body piercings, tattoos, and other physical changes. It also effects the mind and the persons way of thinking. Sin turns us into "AntiChrist", sins Job is to make use the very opposite of what Jesus has inteded us to be. Turns marriage between man and woman into man and man, and woman with woman. Totally against God's order.

Sin keeps us away from God!!!!!! We have to keep our vessels pure and clean with the washing of his word. Seeking and thirsting after HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and FLEEING(RUNNING) from what isn't of HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS without HESITATION!!!!

We must express our need for salvation wholeheartedly, inwardly and outwardly through verbal confessions. There are somethings that needs to be "Spoken" outloud. (John 21:15-18) Today the enemy is everywhere, he can't be missed, but through Christ Jesus, we have the ability to "overcome" sin and we must (Revelation 3:21). Sin is seen on the television, radio, music, internet, and even in stores (magazine section, etc). From the human eye it looks as if the devil has won, but God paid the PRICE!! Allows us to have peace and enter his rest during the "Evil Day".

Lets continue to go on and fight the good fight (1 Timothy 6:12).

Spiritually Sick, Paralyzed, and Blind

Through the course of reading the four Gospels. Jesus healed those who were physically sick, blind, and paralayzed. Many individuals only see these as physical healings. But they too also represent healings that occur spiritually. Luke 4:40, mentions how Jesus Christ healed people with various sicknesses and diseases. A disease or sickness occurs when the bacteria or an virus enters the body and it can't fight it off. Spiritually sicknesses comes in the forms of sinful addictions and habits that attack the spiritual being and weaknens it.

Sinful addictions weakens the Spiritual Immune System and doesn't allow the person to be able to fight against the enemy or to serve God in Spirit and in Truth. It allows more viruses (demonic spirits) to enter into the body and have dominion over it. Jesus came to heal those who are Spiritually Sick, and who's sickness has overpowered there Spiritual Immune System. Inorder to regain perfect health spiritually, we must turn unto God and allow him to renew our minds and to RE-GENERATE us.

John 9, Jesus heals a man who is Born Blind. Individuals are Spirtually Blind when they are under false doctrine and teachings. The Pharisees and Sadduccees were very knowledgeable of scripture and the laws of God, but they couldn't SEE who Jesus was and why he came, and what his purpose was. Jesus came to bring order and to remove the veil from the eyes of those who are confused about doctrine and beliefs. He came to set the standard for how to live and to carry ourselves.

Matthew 9, Jesus heals a paralyzed man because of his FAITH. This is a representation of someone who is spiritually weak and is dependent on others to push them along into the Kingdom. They can do absolutely nothing spiritually without the help of other individuals and totally lack discernment. But Jesus also came to help those who are weak, and can't discern whats the next move to make, and how to stay away from sin. The comforter has come to lead us into truth, and help bring all things to our rememeberence. The Holy Spirit gives us a direct line of communication from information that was passed along in the chain of command. First from God, to Jesus Christ, then to the Holy Spirit, and then to the TRUE BELIEVER.

Inorder for us to overcome our sicknesses, blindness, and current paralyzed state we must come wholeheartedly to Christ acknowledging our current condition and allowing him to LORD over our lives. We must break off from our own independence that got us in the mess in the first place, and become DEPENDENT on Christ!!!

Give as Jesus Gave

It is true, along the course of our relationship with Christ, we totally get what WE put in. Christ will never give you more than you can bare spiritually or naturally wrather its a blessing or a spiritual gift. Inorder for us to maximize our fullest potential in Christ, we must put in WORK!! Work being as in SERVING AS JESUS SERVED.

Reading through the four gospels in the new testament many of Jesus's characteristics and moral traits were highlighted. During the times when he was being persecuted, he continued to show love and mercy. When we are being led by Christ, there will come times when persecution may come from family members, the church, or the world. We must continue to show love towards those who persecute us, because we all once would have persecuted Christ (In the Old Man). Christ granted mercy to those who were deceiving and to those who were being deceived.

He never neglected to share the gospel to anyone who was THIRSTING AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS. He even did so for the woman at the well even though Samaritans weren't accepted equally as Jews, her eagerness and THIRST, moved Christ. He moved in her life, and will move in our lives at a level depending on what we PUT IN!! While being called the Son of the Devil, he continued to show mercy and allowed them to REPENT.

When we are in need of encouragement, its important for us to encourage. When we are in the need of love, its important for us to love. When we are in financial need, it is important for us to give. When we need mercy, mercy will be shown to those who have shown mercy. What you lack, you must give inorder to mature spiritually. The more of a servant you become, the more knowledgeable of God you will become. As you continue to serve, you will begin to take on more of his NATURE!!

Our giving is totally done through the Holy Spirit, and allows for us to receive deeper Revelation and Understanding of scripture. Serving forces us to deny our bodies of pleasure and to receive pleasure from the fact that we are pleasing God and not man. This opens the door for ministries and opportunities to minister. When we receive revelations or blessings or anything from Christ, we must share it so that it blesses and encourages others.

Serving Hurts and is a task that is totally opposite of the FLESH which loves to receive, but not to give. We can observe the story of Cain and Abel, and look at how Abels deed was more pure and sacrificial than Cain's. Our natural instincts are to receive and get all that we can and as much of it as possible. We see this in the WORLD today a.k.a THE AMERICAN DREAM.

Jesus gave continuously and in various ways. He left the throne in heaven to come down in the form of a man, an image that he created to save us. While completing the task at hand, those very same people that he came to save, rebuked him and KILLED HIM. But he still loved, and completed his task as the PERFECT SERVANT who serves while enduring tribulation and without receiving the proper recognition for ones work.

Men of God

"What the church needs today is nor more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Spirit can use... The Holy Spirit does not flow through methods but through men. He does not come on machinery but on men. He does not anoint plans but men...Natural ability and educational advantages do not figure as factors in this matter; but capacity for faith, the ability to pray, the power of thorough consecration, the ability of self-littleness, an absolute losing of one's self in God's glory and an ever-present and insatiable yearning and seeking after all the fullness of God - men who can set the church ablaze for God; not in a noisy showy way, but with an intense and quiet heat that melts and moves every thing

For God. God can work wonders if He can get suitable men."
