Colossians 1:9-13

Colossians 1:9-13, "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has transferred us into the kingdom of his dear Son:"

One With Christ

Since the existence of mankind, we have allowed the enemy to bring enmity in between us. Using our physical characteristics, social status, location, race, and ethnicity to break up the unity within man that Jesus intended.

Ephesians 3:6,"[It is this:] that the Gentiles are now to be fellow heirs [with the Jews], members of the same body and joint partakers [sharing] in the same divine promise in Christ through [their acceptance of] the glad tidings (the Gospel)."

It is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we are unified, partaking in the same divine promise in Christ Jesus. We all began from one man (Adam) and one woman (Eve). Dividing up mankind into separate groups/clicks weakens its ability to maximize its full potential in Christ. Not being able to worship together, offsetting minute cultural differences that don't conflict with the will of God. This hinders the church progress in reaching souls, and has played a role in its current weakened state.

We must take upon the full nature of Christ and have the fruit of the spirit manifested in us so that we may unite as one in Christ.

Galations 5:22-23,"22But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [[a]that can bring a charge].

Its by his spirit we are able to unite as one, showing love toward one another, not outwardly love that can be faked, but agape love. As we look into the systems of the World, we continue to see how we are divided up and separated. Black History Month for instance, but yes we should remember the pain African Americans endured to become free and to be treated as whites were, but without the spirit it has been faked and lacking of real charity.

As the church we must recognize that Christ has broken that wall that separates us. We must be able to worship Christ comfortably among our brother-en of different ethnicities, races, and cultural background.

Ephesians 2:13-14,"13But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were [so] far away, through (by, in) the blood of Christ have been brought near.14For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us,

Our Churches should be diverse, and we can look into the World as it even has made a false attempt to bring people of different races together. The Church as a whole is behind because we aren't willing to think as Christ thought, not being affected by what was presented to him in the natural, but walking with Spiritual Eyes. The secular music industry, entertainment world, and politics have even diversified but we are stuck on the BLACK CHURCH!!!!
